Daniel P. Horgan, age 87, of Indiana, PA, died peacefully on February 24, 2026. Born on October 1, 1938, in New York City, he was the son of the late Daniel Joseph Horgan and Bridget (White) Horgan. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary “Nancy” Horgan. Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel P. Horgan Jr. and his wife, Kelly Bressette of N. Easton, MA, and his daughter, Anne McGowan and her husband, Mark McGowan of Indiana, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Jeremiah Horgan and his wife, Yuni Horgan (Florida). He was also predeceased by his sister Margaret Aufenanger and husband John Aufenanger (New York), and sister, Eileen McVicar and her husband John McVicar (Connecticut).
Daniel lived a vibrant life as a petrochemical engineer, traveling the world with his career and family, creating cherished memories across the globe. He was incredibly proud of his roots, holding a deep love for Ireland, which he expressed through music, dancing, and playing the accordion. He was always eager to share stories about his family and heritage back in Ireland.
He was a beloved grandfather, leaving behind five grandchildren, Katherine Horgan, Alexandra Bressette, Katerina Marcello, Connor McGowan, and Ian McGowan, who brought him great pride and joy, along with many nieces and nephews. He was a constant and proud presence at soccer games, acting as an avid spectator for his two grandsons. His granddaughter, Katherine, was appreciative of all the time they spent together, touring the bird sanctuary, grilling outside, and just talking about life and being educated about Irish culture.
