Richard Paul Potts, 82, of Creekside, passed away on Friday March 29, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.
Richard was born February 4, 1942 to Paul and Ruby (Kunkle) Potts in Creekside.
He was a member of the Keystone Sportsman’s Club. Richard worked as a plasterer in his younger years and eventually owned and operated his own coal auguring business. Richard was also a Washington Township supervisor for twenty-two years before he retired at the age of 72. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, car racing, and was in the “We Don’t Smoke Grass” Bluegrass band. He loved hunting with his family in Pennsylvania and Colorado
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Barbara Ann (McClure) Potts, Creekside, four children, Vickie D. Weston, (Ralph), Creekside, Brian R. Potts, (Sabrina), Plumville, Benjamin P. Potts, (Carina) Creekside and Julie A. Vallies, (Mark), Creekside. Eleven grandchildren, Quentin, Zachery, Savanna, Brian, Jr., Kamilah, Dillion, Colton, Keshia, Mitchell, Cheyenne, Odessa, 18 Great grandchildren, two sisters, Carol McClure, and husband Daniel, Creekside and Sara Levens, Sagamore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronald and Philip Potts and a sister, Joyce Brewer,
Services will be private.
Interment will take place at Harmony Grove Cemetery.
